24 Weeks

I am still in month 5; the month of the papaya.
Here's what Baby Center has to say about this week:
"Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon."

A little sneak-peek of some of the babies' room. Obviously not all pictured, but they have 2 cribs this chest of drawers and a changing table/chest with drawers put together in their room. A totally awesome recliner/glider is on its way, then the room will be full. We still have a bookshelf and toy chest that match their furniture that need to be assembled and placed somewhere. I think the babies will start taking over the guest room before they even get here!

This is a little advantage to being a Kindergarten teacher. I sent home a lot of supplies with the children this year, including wipes. These were the extra from my class and some from another class. I think I have a good start on wipes. So far, I have also gotten/acquired a large number of bibs, blankets, and washcloths that have already been washed and put away in their new furniture.

Our 6th anniversary is the 28th of this month, but we decided to get a combined gift for each other this year. We got a blu-ray player. We bought it a little early. Todd, of course, did his research and picked the perfect one for what (he) we wanted.

Todd with his first Father's Day card. Sweet time!

I felt the need to move the technical graphic to the end... It was just a little much to see when you first open the blog. Ha! This is fraternal twins at 24 weeks.

Wow! I can see a big change in you from week 23 to 24. Glad to hear you're doing great. And even with two babies you're still going to be all set on wipes for months!
